WOMEN’S RUGBY RETURNS AS BEAST OF THE EAST CHAMPIONS

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – This past weekend, the Bryant University Woman’s Rugby Team traveled a short distance to the Beast of the East Rugby Tournament to compete against other teams from New England. The Bulldogs competed in five matches total throughout the weekend and remained undefeated the entire time.

Saturday, April 13th:

Match 1 vs Binghamton University

• Final score: Bryant – 15, Binghamton – 0

Match 2 vs University of Vermont

• Final score: Bryant – 22, Vermont – 5

Sunday, April 14th:  

Match 3 vs Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

• Final score: Bryant – 39, RPI – 0  

Match 4 vs University of Vermont

• Playoff round
• Final score: Bryant – 71, Vermont – 0

Match 5 vs Boston College

• Championship round
• Final score: Bryant – 31, Boston – 7  

Highlights:

• The Bryant Women’s Rugby team won all five matches this weekend and earned the title of Beast of the East Champions, returning home with a trophy
