Bulldogs Welcome Women's Club Lacrosse

Smithfield, RI

Last Fall, Bryant University Recreation welcomed Women’s Club Lacrosse as a new program. Captain’s practices were run by Meghan Rice, Melonie Auclair and Alex Fluegel throughout the year.

This semester the program has become stronger and more established. The team plans on having more consistent practices once a week and strengthening the team by working on stick skills, shooting drills, and scrimmaging.

The first practice was held last week and had a good turnout with about fifteen girls. There are about twenty on the roster as of right now.

Meghan Rice explained, “this semester we plan to get to know each other as a team, sharpen our skills, and prepare for some scrimmages next semester. We also hope to get into a league possibly by next semester or next fall. We are also looking for a coach so hopefully that happens soon. I am very excited to see the future of this program.”

Feel free to reach out to President Meghan Rice if you are interested in joining the team!
