Field Hockey Falls to Mountees 4-0

Smithfield, R.I. – The Bryant Field Hockey team dropped its second consecutive game, amidst the pouring rain, to Mansfield 4-0.

Bryant outshot the Mountaineers in the first half 8-4, but they couldn’t score against goaltender Brianna DeLuca.

The Bulldogs also had 14 penalty corners to Mansfield’s six, but could not convert on any of them.

The Mountaineers scored four times in the second half.

Keely Jarrett led Mansfield with two goals and an assist.

Shana Libman (Attleboro, Mass.) led the Bulldogs with five shots. Kundayi Mawema (Hare, Zimbabwe) stopped ten shots in the losing cause.

Bryant will visit UMass-Lowell Wednesday (7 p.m.).
