In the record books: Arguably the most successful and talented goalie in Bulldog field hockey history, Mawema graduates from Bryant having left her prints all over the single-game, single-season and all-time career record books... SINGLE-GAME: first for most saves in a game (30 at Bloomsburg, Sept. 1, 2007); fifth in most saves (20 vs. Bloomsburg, Sept. 2, 2006); tied for ninth in most saves (17 at Maine, Sept. 20, 2008)... SINGLE-SEASON: second for saves in a season (153, 2007), saves per game in a season (8.12, 2008) and wins in a season (12, 2007); third in shutouts in a season (4, 2009); tied for third in wins (10, 2006); fourth in saves (145, 2006), saves per game (7.65, 2007), save percentage (.810, 2007) and goals against average (1.846, 2007); tied for fourth in shutouts (3, 2006 & 2007); fifth in saves (130, 2008), saves per game (7.25, 2006), goals against average (1.854, 2009) and wins (7, 2009); sixth in saves (124, 2009), saves per game (6.89, 2009) and save percentage (.795, 2009); seventh in save percentage (.784, 2006); eighth in goals against average (1.99, 2006)... Career: Since arriving as a freshman, Mawema has been an integral part of the Bulldog team and turning the young program into a success at both the Division I and Division II levels... Appeared in 74 career games with 68 starts, recording an astonishing 4920:05 between the pipes... Recorded a record 552 saves on her four-year career to boast a .754 career save percentage and career goals against average of 2.56... Registered an all-time record of 31-40-0 with 10 career shutouts. 

As a senior: Saw action in all 18 games, starting in 17... Recorded four shutouts on the season... Made 124 saves in 1208 minutes of action between the posts for the Black and Gold... Posted a 1.85 goals against average and .795 save percentage with a 7-10 record... Allowed just 32 goals in 265 shots faced... Didn't allowed more than four goals in a game all season... Collected four double-digit save games, hitting a season-high 13 twice (at Hofstra, vs. Monmouth)... Earned the program's first-ever Northeast Conference postseason honor, being named a 2009 NEC All-Second Team selection... Named the 2010 RIAIAW Distinguished Athlete of the Year.

As a junior: Appeared in 16 games between the pipes, starting in 15... Recorded both of Bryant's wins in net... Made 130 saves in 937 minutes of action... Posted a 5.38 GAA and a .644 save percentage.

As a sophomore: Appeared in all 20 games, starting 19... Posted a 12-7-0 record with a 1.85 GAA and a .810 save pct.... Recorded three shutouts... All-conference second team selection.

As a freshman: Appeared in 21 games as a freshman, starting in 20... Recorded a 10-10 record, along with a 1.99 goals against average and a .784 save percentage... Posted three shutouts.

Before Bryant: A 2005 graduate of Dominican Convent, Mawema was a member of Zimbabwe's 2005 junior national field hockey team that competed in the 2005 Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile.

Personal: Daughter of Nelson and Memory Mawema, Kundayi P. Mawema was born December 17, 1987... Has two sisters, Rude and Chiedza, who is a freshman for the Bulldogs this season.
