Bio

As a sophomore: Made huge strides forward in her sophomore campaign, appearing in all 20 games while earning nine starts... Dished out a pair of assists on the season, including the helper on Bryant's only goal of the NEC Tournament, the school's first-ever Division I postseason berth... Named to the 2011 NEC All-Tournament Team for her efforts... Fired four shots on the year.

As a freshman: Saw time in 11 games while earning the start in one... Fired one shot in start against Hofstra on Aug. 31... Took eight shots on the year and put six of them on goal for a .750 shot on goal percentage.

Before Bryant: A 2009 graduate of Dominican Convent High School in Harare, Zimbabwe, Mawema was a three-year starter for the Zimbabwe U-16A team... Served as co-captain in 2008... Was a starter on Zimbabwe's U-21 women's team in 2008... Played four years of field hockey at Dominican Convent, earning half colours for athletic achievement in 2007 and full colours in 2008... Also lettered in swimming, tennis and basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Nelson and Memory Mawema, Chiedza Auxillia Mawema was born January 23, 1992... Both two sisters, Rude and Kundayi, play field hockey, while Kundayi was a senior captain for the Bulldogs in 2009.
