Field hockey honored by NFHCA

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team placed nine student-athletes on the 2010 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association earlier this week.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year.

The Bulldogs, no strangers to academic honors, were also recognized with the NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award for maintaining a team GPA above 3.0.

Seniors Elise Boissoneau (Ashburnham, Mass.) and Toby Maltz (Andover, Mass.) headlined the list of Bryant honorees and were joined by Katherine Andrusin (North Andover, Mass.), Emily Charpentier (Walpole, Mass.), Jennifer Gullotti (Waltham, Mass.), Olivia Jankins (West Brookfield, Mass.), Courtney Landi (Kingston, N.Y.), Alexandra Czerniak (Holyoke, Mass.) and Chelsea Theokas (Merrimack, N.H.).
