Bryant FH earns NFHCA Collegiate National Academic distinction, 11 named to All-Academic Squad

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University field hockey team was named to the 2014 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Team Awards for its continued dedication in the classroom, announced the NFCA Monday.

Bryant was one of 71 Division I institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

In addition to the team distinction, the Bulldogs saw 11 of their own earn their way onto the 2014 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Squad. Led by four-year award recipients Abigail Armstrong (Mahopac, N.Y.) and Emily Clark (Vienna, Va.), junior Mikayla Fitzmaurice (Skowhegan, Maine), sophomores Emiko Barker (Hatfield, Mass.), Elena Borovskis (Pequannock, N.J.), Erin Karcher (Kennett Square, Pa.), and Samantha Yoder (Mount Joy, Pa.), and freshmen Camryn Bernheimer (Lewes, Del.), Hannah Coburn (Lone Tree, Colo.), Keighan Richardson (North Attleboro, Mass.), and Bethany Winkin (Winslow, Maine) all achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
