14 Bulldogs earn spot on 2015 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Fourteen student-athletes on the Bryant University field hockey team were named to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, including freshman Marissa Elizardo (North Wales, Pa.), who was also named to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Collegiate Scholars of Distinction.

Elizardo qualified as a scholar of distinction by achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.

The field hockey team's dedication to excellence in the classroom has earned them a spot on the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award's Top 5 Performers List, finishing fifth with an overall team GPA of 3.54. This group of Bulldogs ranked first amongst Bryant's 22 varsity teams, garnering the highest team GPA of 3.54.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year. Those members of the Bryant field hockey squad that received such honors include:
