de Vries signs two in early signing period

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University field hockey and head coach Joppe de Vries announced two members to the Bryant Class of 2022. Goalkeeper Marijn Jaarsma and forward and midfielder Meghan Robinson.

Meghan Robinson – Midfield/Forward | Haddon Heights, N.J. | Haddon Heights | 5-5

A three-year starter at Haddon Heights High School under coach Melissa Del Collo … Led her team to four consecutive postseason appearances, including a semifinal appearance as a senior … Was named First Team All-Conference in 2017 … Also received a Second Team nod as a junior, as well as being named the Haddon Heights Offensive Player of the Year that season.

Coach de Vries on Robinson: I am excited to welcome Meghan to our Bulldog family. She will be able to contribute a lot to our Rhode Island community and field hockey program. Enthusiasm, skill, and athleticism are her key traits!

Marijn Jaarsma – Goalkeeper | - Uithoorn, Netherlands | Alkwin Kollege | 5-6

A starter for eight seasons at the club level … Most recently was the starting goalkeeper for the senior women's first team of Qui Vive.

Coach de Vries on Jaarsma: We are excited that Marijn chose to be a Bryant Bulldog. She is an experienced, athletic, goalkeeper. She will bring strong academics and competitiveness to Rhode Island and the Bryant family!
