de Vries adds two to Class of 2022

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Field hockey head coach Joppe de Vries announced his two-woman Class of 2022 that will start playing for the Black and Gold this coming fall.

Before Bryant: Four-year starter as a defender and midfielder for head coach Andi Bernstein … Went combined 111-14 in her final three seasons … accumulated two top-eight rankings in the RSA, including third as a junior … Earned Full Colours honors in field hockey and indoor hockey … also ran four years of cross country and played five years of indoor hockey … played club at the Western Province Cricket Club.

de Vries on Gouws: "I'm super excited for Britt to join our program. She is all about results, in the classroom and on the field. She will bring dedication and grit to our program. She has played the last six years with Casey, and that can only be to our advantage. She can play different positions and that will make her versatile in our team."

Before Bryant: Three-year starter for the Bullets … earned top-four finish in Berks County each of three years … Berks County All-Division 2nd Team in 2016 … Berks County All-Division 1st Team in 2017 … Keystone State Games Bronze Medal in 2016 and 2017 … USA Field Hockey Futures Regional Team for three years, from 2015 to 2017 … also a member of Brandywine National Honor Society.
