Bulldogs drop Sunday match at Lafayette

EASTON, Pa. – Taryn Rauff scored her first goal of the season but the Bryant University field hockey fell to Lafayette, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon. 

Rauff scored with just over two minutes remaining in the game but the Leopards' three first-half goals were too much for the Black and Gold.

KEY MOMENT

  • Lafayette expanded its lead with goals four minutes apart in the second quarter to make it 3-0.          

HOW IT HAPPENED

Lafayette got on the board first as Felicitas Hannes scored at the 10:40 mark of the first quarter. Goals from India Ralph and Mackenzie Hall scored four minutes apart in the second quarter to make it 3-0. 

Rauff got Bryant on the board late as she hit a reverse into the top corner of the net for her first of the season.  

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Rauff scored for the 13th time in her career.  
  • Dieneke Hes posted 13 saves for the Bulldogs. 
  • Valerie van Dommelen started up front, marking her first collegiate start and appearance.
