Field Hockey falls to Colgate, 2-1

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Taryn Rauff scored her second goal in as many games but the Bryant University field hockey team fell to Colgate, 2-1, on Friday. 

Rauff scored just over three minutes into the second half to tie the game but Colgate answered less than a minute later to make it 2-1.

  • Moments after Rauff tied it, Dani Palmer notched her third goal of the year to make it 2-1.           

HOW IT HAPPENED

Colgate opened the scoring early in the first quarter and held a 1-0 lead at half. 

Rauff tied the game in the 34th minute but Palmer scored in the 35th to give the Raiders the win.   

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Rauff scored for the 14th time in her career.
  • Rauff finished with seven shots and five on target.   
  • Dieneke Hes posted two saves. 
  • Bryant still leads the all-time series 8-5.
