Bryant opens America East play with UAlbany on Sunday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team opens America East play on Sunday, September 24 when it hosts UAlbany at 2:00 p.m. 

Bryant is teaming with NOSOLO to support mental health. A table will be set up at the game with information.

Series History

  • UAlbany has won all seven meetings between the two programs.
  • Sunday marks the first time the two teams will play on campus at Bryant. 

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Bryant is 4-3 on the year following a 4-2 win over Stonehill. 
  • Brittany Gouws scored twice in the game and has a team-leading five on the year. She has scored the game-winning goal in all four wins.
  • Emma Rothkopf posted her first goal as a Bulldog and added an assist vs Stonehill.
  • Natalie Griffin posted two assists vs Stonehill and leads the team with three on the year. 
  • Julie Diderich recorded the first two assists of her career against the Skyhawks.
  • Bryant has received wins from three different goalies for the first time in DI program history.

  • UAlbany is 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the America East following a 2-1 overtime win on Friday against Cal.
