SPRINGFIELD, MASS - John Williams made the best of his homecoming on Monday evening, despite playing for the visiting team. For Williams, junior guard out of Longmeadow High School in Springfield, Mass., scored 29 points on 10-of-22 shooting in guiding the Bryant men's basketball team to a 75-57 win over host American International before 327 at Butova Gymnasium.

Bryant (9-6, 5-6 NE-10) shot 55.8 percent from the floor in the game and out-rebounded AIC 34-25, but it was the hot hand of Williams who helped pace the Bryant attack.

Williams, second in the Northeast-10 in scoring this season, made 10 of

22 from the floor and showed why he is leading the conference in three-

point accuracy, making 4-of-10 from long range to go with four assists

in 39 minutes of action. Williams' career-high is 33 points set earlier this season against Pace University. Mario Correia (Brockton, Mass.) had a solid game for the Bulldogs with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting while Mike Williams added 10 and seven rebounds.

AIC (7-8, 3-7), which took a 38-34 lead into the locker room at the half, was led by John Huggins' 17 points while Cortez Sutton came off the bench to add 16.

Bryant travels to Saint Rose on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. tip.
