A 2008 graduate of Lake Ginninderra in Canberra, Australia, McMath was selected to attend the prestigious the Australia Institute of Sport (AIS) in 2009 under head coach Marty Clarke ... Team went all the way to the finals ... All 12 of McMath's AIS teammates went on to play Division I basketball in the United States ... Played club basketball for Sturt from 2005-07, where he was teammates with fellow Bulldog Corey Maynard ... Sturt went 49-5 in three seasons under coaches Paul Mescke and Scott Butler ...
