SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's basketball freshman guard Nisre Zouzoua (Brockton, Mass.) was named the final Northeast Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week of the season, the two league's announced Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Both recognitions are Zouzoua's first weekly awards of his career, and they comes on the heels of a stellar week in which averaged 26.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor and a scorching 60.0 percent from outside the arc.

The Brockton, Mass., native hit 12-of-20 shots from distance and was also a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. On Saturday, he helped Bryant snap a 12-game losing streak with a career-high 29 points in an 88-83 triumph over LIU Brooklyn. He netted at least 20 points in each of his last three games and averaged 19.3 points in the month of February (eight games). Zouzoua finished his rookie campaign leading all NEC freshmen in scoring and wrapped the season as Bryant's top point-producer with 12.8 points per game.
