Bryant and Brown to meet in Sunday night clash
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bryant University men's basketball team begins a stretch of five of its next six games in the Ocean State when the Bulldogs make the short trip down Route 146 for a Sunday evening contest at Brown.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown is 4-2 after a 96-64 victory over Salve Regina Wednesday. The Bears' Thanksgiving Eve victory over the Division III Seahawks came after a 3-0 weekend at a home multi-team event with wins over UMass Lowell, Sacred Heart and Army West Point. Brown has scored 80 or more points in five of six games to begin the year.
Desmond Cambridge leads Brown at 15.3 points per game, while Tamenang Choh has added 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Brown has gone to the free-throw line 29.5 times per game this season, a mark that ranks 13th in the nation.
THE SERIES
Bryant and Brown are meeting for the 11th consecutive year since the Bulldogs moved to Division I in 2008-09. The Bears have won four straight matchups in the series after an 81-67 Brown victory in Smithfield a year ago. SaBastian Townes (Chesapeake, Va.) tallied 22 points - at the time a career-high - in the contest last season.
LAST TIME OUT: NAVY 83, BRYANT 79
Junior Adam Grant (Franklin, Va.) scored a season-high 21 points and freshman Joe Kasperzyk (New Haven, Conn.) added career-bests in points (18) and assists (8), but a slow start from beyond the arc proved costly in an 83-79 defeat in Annapolis Sunday.
ACTING AG
After a quiet first week of the season, junior Adam Grant was back to his scoring ways in the second week. Grant recorded 18 points in the victory over Saint Peter's and a season-high 21 at Navy. The junior from Virginia hit six three-pointers in the game in Annapolis.
FRESHMAN GLASS
Freshman Patrick Harding (Fairfield, Conn.) leads all NEC rookies with 8.3 rebounds per game this season. Harding has grabbed eight or more boards in three of four contests this season.
BASH FEASTS AT THANKSGIVING
Junior SaBastian Townes has averaged 16.7 points per game in three career contests on Thanksgiving weekend. Townes tallied nine points with his first career three-pointer in his freshman year against Northwestern before going off twice last season, scoring 19 in a win over Hartford and dropping 22 against Brown.
KAS RULES EVERYTHING AROUND ME
Freshman Joe Kasperzyk went 12-for-13 from the free-throw line in Sunday's game at Navy. The 12 made free throws are tied for the most nationally this season by a freshman, while the .923 percentage is the best of the three with 12 makes.
CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Junior Adam Grant passed three players on Bryant's Division I scoring list in the game at Navy to move into sixth place: Bosko Kostur, Cecil Gresham and Dan Garvin. Grant stands 94 points away from 1,000 for his collegiate career entering Sunday.
