Bryant signs Team IMPACT's Angel Link

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team is excited to announce the signing of Team IMPACT's Angel Link to the Bulldog program.

Angel, a seven-year-old from Johnston, signed with Bryant in a ceremony at the Chace Athletic Center Wednesday, joined by his parents Christine and Michael, siblings, head coach Jared Grasso and Bulldog student-athletes, coaches and administrators.

"We could not be more excited to have Angel joining the Bulldog family," said Grasso. "He is a tough, courageous young man whose personality and smile are infectious. We look forward to watching him grow with us."

Team IMPACT's mission is to improve the quality of life for children facing serious and chronic illnesses through the power of team. Team IMPACT is a national nonprofit that connects children facing serious and chronic illness with college athletic teams, forming life-long bonds and life-changing outcomes.

Since 2011, Team IMPACT has matched more than 1,300 children with more than 500 colleges and universities in 47 states, reaching over 35,000 participating student-athletes. The child joins the athletic team and the student-athletes join the child's support team. Throughout the journey, the child gains strength, camaraderie and support while the student-athletes experience lessons of courage, resiliency and perspective they can't learn in a classroom.

Through Team IMPACT's program with Bryant, Angel will attend Bulldog practices, games, team dinners, events and more.
