Cardenas, Ndugba to take part in Pan Am Games training camp

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bryant University men's basketball senior Juan Cardenas (Medellin, Colombia) and redshirt-junior Ikenna Ndugba (Boston, Mass.) will train this week as part of an East Coast Basketball team that will scrimmage the Pan American Games Team USA squad Wednesday at Alumni Hall.

Cardenas and Ndugba are two of the 12 players on the team assembled of college basketball players from around the region. They join Sacred Heart's Jare'l Spellman and Merrimack's Juvaris Hayes along with players from Syracuse, Notre Dame, Columbia, Princeton and Western Connecticut. The team will be coached by long-time NBA assistant coach Mike Longabardi.

The four-day camp began Sunday evening and will culminate with Wednesday's scrimmage against the Team USA group made up of active Big East players. Tickets for the 6 p.m. scrimmage at Providence College's Alumni Hall are available for $10.

Bryant begins its 2019-20 season, the second under head coach Jared Grasso, Tuesday, Nov. 5 when Brown visits the Chace Athletic Center. Full schedule information will be available in the coming weeks.
