SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's plays its regular season opener Wednesday after an 88-61 exhibition victory over crosstown Division III opponent NJCU Thursday night. Freshmen Doug Edert and Aaron Estrada combined for 33 of the Peacocks' points in the win.

The Peacocks went 10-22 a year ago and 6-12 in the MAAC, falling in the conference quarterfinals by two to eventual champion Iona. Saint Peter's was picked ninth in this fall's 11-team coaches' poll.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Saint Peter's are meeting for the second time in the programs' histories following a 71-63 Bryant victory last November for head coach Jared Grasso's first win as the leader of the Bulldogs. SaBastian Townes (Chesapeake, Va.) recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, Adam Grant (Franklin, Va.) added 18 points and Patrick Harding (Fairfield, Conn.) grabbed nine rebounds as Bryant came from behind in the second half to win its home opener.

LAST TIME OUT: BRYANT 82, CORNELL 81
Bryant used a 22-4 first-half run to overcome a slow start and held on in a frantic finish for the Bulldogs' first win of 2019-20 Sunday at the Chace Athletic Center. Bryant made 15 three-pointers in the win - the program's second-most in its Division I era.

BOARD MAN BREAKS RECORDS
Harding grabbed 19 rebounds in Sunday's victory over Cornell, breaking Dan Garvin's Division I single-game record of 18 set in 2015. Harding corralled 11 of his rebounds on the defensive end and added eight offensive boards.

Harding's 19 rebounds Sunday rank tied for second in a game nationally this season behind a 20-rebound effort from Old Dominion's Aaron Carver.

MAJOR KEY
Freshman Charles Pride (Syracuse, N.Y.) dropped in 22 points Thursday at Rutgers - the most ever by Bryant freshman against an opponent from a major conference (AAC, ACC, Big East, B1G, Big 12, Pac-12, SEC.) Pride sank five threes in the contest and grabbed seven rebounds on his way to being named NEC Rookie of the Week Monday.

21 QUESTIONS
Bryant was one of 21 teams nationally to play three or more games in the opening week of the season, while Saint Peter's joined Houston and Quinnipiac as the only teams not to play a regular-season game in the first week.

Bryant's three-game slate helped a trio of Bulldogs record top-10 national rankings in Monday's statistical report: Grant ranks second in made three-pointers (13) and sixth in total points (68), Harding stands second in total rebounds (35) and freshman Michael Green III (Bronx, N.Y.) is seventh in total assists (17).

DOUBLE-DIGIT DAWGS
Five Bryant players - Grant, junior Mikail Simmons (Murphy, Texas), Green, Pride and freshman Benson Lin (New Taipei City, Taiwan) - have a game of 10 or more points in the Bulldogs' first three contests. Grant has scored 20 or more in all three games, while Simmons, Green and Pride have two games each of 10+ points and Lin scored a career-high 16 in Sunday's win over Cornell.

80s NIGHT
The 82 points scored Sunday by Bryant were the most in a non-conference win over a Division I opponent since Bryant dropped 90 on Navy in an overtime victory Dec. 14, 2013. The last time the Bulldogs scored at least 82 points in regulation and beat a non-conference Division I opponent was a win earlier that season (Nov. 16) when Bryant routed Vermont, 87-64, for the program's highest-ranked KenPom win (75) in program history.

SWISHING AND DISHING
Grant has led the Bulldogs in scoring in all three games this year with 21 vs. Brown, 23 at Rutgers and 24 vs. Cornell. Grant is also making an impact on others' scoring, as the senior notched six assists in Thursday's contest to surpass the 200 mark for his career.
