Bryant hosts Sacred Heart in NEC Semis

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University men's basketball team will host Sacred Heart in the 2021 Northeast Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon. Tip is set for 12:00 p.m. and will air on ESPN3 and NECFrontRow.

Bryant secured the No. 2 seed in the postseason tournament by virtue of its 10-4 regular-season record. The Pioneers are the No. 3 seed after finishing the regular season with a 9-7 record. 

The Black and Gold will be competing in the NEC Tournament for the seventh time in nine seasons of eligibility and will be making their second appearance in the NEC semis. Bryant advanced to the 2015 NEC Semifinals with a 91-85 double-overtime victory against Sacred Heart. Bryant and Sacred Heart did not meet during the regular season this year.

Top-seeded Wagner College will host fourth-seeded Mount St. Mary's in Saturday's other semifinal at 2:00 p.m. The NEC Championship game is set for Tuesday, Mar. 9 and will air on ESPN2.
