Bryant hosts NJIT Thursday night at the Chace

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team welcomes NJIT to the Chace Athletic Center on Thursday night. Tip is set for 7:02 p.m.

Tickets for Thursday's game can be purchased at BryantBulldogs.com/Tickets. A flash sale for tickets is also in effect until 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan. 18. Tickets in the flash sale are $15.

THE SERIES
Bryant and NJIT are meeting for the fifth time overall and for the third time as Division I opponents. Thursday will mark their first meeting as America East foes. Bryant has won three of the four meetings.

WELCOME TO THE AMERICA EAST
Bryant is 3-2 in America East play this season. The Bulldogs are tied for third in the standings behind Binghamton and UMBC.  

TWEEZ WORLD
Antwan Walker was named the America East Player of the Week on Jan. 16 after averaging 26.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg in two Bryant wins. He scored a career-high 33 points last Wednesday vs UAlbany and then poured in 19 at UNH. Walker made 14-of-21 shots from the field vs the Great Danes and 8-of-10 at UNH, finishing the week at 71 percent. Walker is averaging career highs in ppg and rpg. 

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is 12-6 overall and 3-2 in league play following an 87-81 victory over New Hampshire. Bryant has won back-to-back games entering Thursday.    
  2. Sherif Gross-Bullock posted 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting on Saturday at UNH. He leads the America East with 16.9 ppg and has a team-best six 20-point games this year.
  3. Earl Timberlake ranks 10th in the America East in scoring and second in rebounding entering Thursday. He leads the league with 9.4 rpg in AE-only games.    
  4. Charles Pride ranks sixth in the league with 14.8 ppg and leads the America East from the free throw line, making 85.9 percent of his shots.   
  5. Miles Latimer averaged 7.0 ppg in two starts last week and also posted a season-high 10 rebounds in Saturday's win at UNH.
