Bryant visits UAlbany on Wednesday night

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team opens a two-game road swing on Wednesday night at UAlbany. Tip is set for 7:02 p.m.

Wednesday's game will be played at Hudson Valley Community College.

THE SERIES
Bryant is 1-3 all-time against UAlbany after earning an 86-69 victory over the Great Danes earlier this season. The Bulldogs were led by a career-high 33 points from Antwan Walker. Charles Pride added a career-high tying eight threes.

WELCOME TO THE AMERICA EAST
Bryant is 6-4 in America East play this season. The Bulldogs are 5-1 at home and 1-3 on the road in league play. Bryant has six games remaining in the league slate.   

PRIDE MOVES INTO SECOND PLACE IN REBOUNDS
Charles Pride collected nine rebounds on Saturday vs UNH, giving him 713 in his career. He surpassed Dan Garvin for second place in DI program history.

Earl Timberlake shined in two games last week, averaging 15.5 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 3.5 apg on his way to America East Player of the Week honors. He posted 18 points and a career-high 14 rebounds on Wednesday, before scoring 13 points in the second half on his way to another double-double on Saturday. 

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is 15-8 overall and 6-4 in league play following a 70-46 win over UNH on Saturday. The 46 points are the fewest allowed by the Bulldogs this season and the fewest allowed since the 2022 NEC Championship.     
  2. Earl Timberlake ranks 8th in the America East in scoring and second in rebounding entering Wednesday. He has double-digit points in 17 of the 21 games he's played in and is tied for the team lead with seven double-doubles.
  3. Walker matched Timberlake with his seventh double-double of the year on Saturday. He posted 20 points and 10 boards and now has three 20-point games this season.     
  4. Pride enters Wednesday with 1,463 career points, 37 shy of becoming just the fourth player in DI program history and the 11th in school history to reach 1,500 career points.   
  5. Bryant outscored Maine and UNH 82-40 in the second half last week. The Bulldogs used a 22-2 run and a 41-16 second half advantage to overcome a 30-29 deficit on Saturday.
