Timberlake named America East Player of the Week

BOSTON -- Bryant University men's basketball junior Earl Timberlake was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday.

Timberlake becomes the third different Bulldog to earn player of the week honors, joining fellow Washington, D.C., natives Sherif Gross-Bullock and Antwan Walker. Timberlake averaged 15.5 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 3.5 apg in two wins for the Black and Gold.

On Wednesday, Timberlake posted 18 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and five assists to lead the Bulldogs past Maine. On Saturday, Timberlake had no points and just three boards in the first half but exploded for 13 points and seven boards after the break to post his second-straight double-double.

Timberlake now has seven double-doubles on the year, ranking eighth in scoring and second in rebounding.

Bryant returns to the court on Wednesday night at UAlbany. Tip is set for 7:02 p.m.
