Bryant closes regular season at Maine on Tuesday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team wraps up the regular season on Tuesday night when it makes its first trip to Maine. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant won the first-ever meeting between the programs on Feb. 1, 73-51. The Bulldogs led by one at the half but went on a 14-0 run to start the second half. Earl Timberlake posted 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs.

WELCOME TO THE AMERICA EAST
Bryant is 8-7 in America East play this season. The Bulldogs are 5-3 at home and 3-4 on the road in league play. Bryant has one game remaining in the league slate and is currently tied with Binghamton and New Hampshire for third. Vermont sits in first at 13-2, while UML is in second at 11-5. The top four teams host quarterfinal-round games on March 4. 

SGB REACHES 20 AGAIN
Sherif Gross-Bullock reached the 20-point plateau for the 11th time on Saturday, finishing with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Gross-Bullock enters Tuesday as the leading scorer in the America East with 17.6 ppg.

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is 17-11 overall and 8-7 in league play following a 70-66 loss to Vermont on Saturday.    
  2. Earl Timberlake ranks 10th in the America East in scoring and third in rebounding entering Tuesday. Timberlake tied his career high with 23 points last Wednesday.
  3. Charles Pride currently ranks fifth in the league in scoring with 15.3 ppg. Pride sits alone in the first place with 142 career steals following a pair of thefts on Saturday.    
  4. Kvonn Cramer has scored eight points in each of his last two games. He produced three highlight reel slams on Saturday vs Vermont. 
  5. Antwan Walker enters Tuesday just nine points shy of 1,000 for his career.
