Gross-Bullock named America East Newcomer of the Year
BOSTON – Bryant University men's basketball senior Sherif Gross-Bullock was named the America East Newcomer of the Year, the league announced on Friday.
In addition, Gross-Bullock was named to the All-America East First Team. Teammates Charles Pride and Earl Timberlake earned All-America East Second Team laurels.

Gross-Bullock has made an immediate impact in his first season with the Black and Gold, entering the Jersey Mike's Men's #AEHoops Playoffs with a league-best 17.6 ppg. The Washington, D.C., native also ranks eighth in field goal percentage, second in three-point field goal percentage, third in three-point field goals per game and ninth in assists per game. Gross-Bullock has 11 20-point games, tied for the league lead, and averaged 18.9 ppg in America East contests.
Gross-Bullock's highlight performance came at UMBC when he scored a career-high 39 points. The point total represents the third-highest scoring output in DI program history.

Pride picks up all-conference honors for the second-straight season after finishing the regular season with 14.6 ppg and 6.1 rpg. He ranks fifth in the league in scoring, 11th in rebounding, 13th in assists and third in steals. Pride also leads the league in free throw percentage, hitting at a 84.8-percent clip. He reached double-figures 23 times during the regular season, recording 20+ points on six occasions.

Timberlake earns second team honors in his first season in the Black and Gold. Also from Washington, D.C., Timberlake ranks ninth in the league in scoring, third in rebounding, third in field goal percentage and 10th in assists. Timberlake has recorded a team-high nine double-doubles, tied for the second-most in the America East. He scored a career-high 23 points in Bryant's win over NJIT and has three 20-point games and 20 double-digit scoring efforts on the year.
The sixth-seeded Bulldogs are set to take on third-seeded New Hampshire Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the America East Playoffs. Tip is set for 1:02 p.m.
