Bryant falls to New Hampshire on Saturday in America East Quarterfinals

DURHAM, N.H. – The sixth-seeded Bryant University men's basketball team fell to third-seeded New Hampshire, 67-60, on Saturday afternoon at Lundholm Gymnasium.

With the loss, the Bulldogs see their season come to a close with a 17-13 record. The Black and Gold dropped five of their final six on the year.

Earl Timberlake led the Bulldogs with 18 points and six rebounds. Tyler Breslford added 15 points, while Antwan Walker had eight points and seven rebounds. Bryant lost leading scorer Sherif Gross-Bullock with an injury in the first half and played without the league's fifth-leading scorer in Charles Pride due to injury.

How it Happened

  • Bryant opened the game with the first six points as Gross-Bullock converted a pair of layups.
  • The Bulldogs stretched the lead to 9-2 as Timberlake drilled a step-back three from the right wing.
  • UNH was able to close the gap to 11-7 at the under-12 media timeout.
  • Bryant would build a 14-7 lead but the Wildcats were able to shoot their way back into the game, tying it at 18-18 with under six to play.
  • The Wildcats would take a 21-18 lead on a three from Christian Moore at the 5:08 mark.
  • Bryant answered with five-straight points to take a 23-21 lead. Timberlake scored four of the points, using his size inside to finish at the rim.
