Bryant faces Binghamton on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team hits the road on Saturday, traveling to Vestal, N.Y., to face Binghamton. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Binghamton meet for the second time this season on Saturday. The Bulldogs earned a 77-69 victory on Jan. 11 behind 24 points from Sherif Gross-Bullock and a double-double from Daniel Rivera. Bryant owns a 3-2 lead in the DI series, with the home team winning all five games.           

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Bryant enters Saturday ranked third nationally with 6.4 blocks per game and 12th nationally in field goal percentage defense (39.2 percent).   

GOOD GRIEF, REEF
Sherif Gross-Bullock posted his 11th 20-point game of the season on Thursday against New Hampshire, second-most in the America East. SGB also has a pair of 30+ point games, going for 41 and 35 against UMBC. He now has four games of 35+ points in his career, one shy of Peter Kiss' record of five. 

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. SGB enters Saturday ranked second in the league in scoring with 19.8 ppg, while ranking first in America East scoring with 23.2 ppg. He has scored 20+ points in six of the nine league games this season, including a game-high 28 on Thursday vs New Hampshire.  
  2. Timberlake is coming off his second-straight 20-point double-double, posting 20 points and 12 rebounds vs UNH. He posted 22 points and 12 boards at Maine last Saturday and is averaging 17.7 ppg, 10.7 rpg and 5.0 apg over his last three. On the year, Timberlake is averaging 14.4 ppg, 9.1 rpg and 4.3 apg.    
  3. Daniel Rivera posted 17 points on Thursday and is averaging 13.7 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 2.8 bpg in league play. Rivera posted 12 points and 12 boards in Bryant's first meeting with Binghamton.    
  4. Doug Edert is averaging 6.4 ppg over his last four outings and recently scored his 1,000th career point on Thursday against New Hampshire. 
  5. The Bulldogs enter Saturday 4-1 on the road in America East play.
