Bryant hosts UAlbany Tuesday in regular season finale

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team closes out the regular season on Tuesday night when it hosts UAlbany at the Chace Athletic Center. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and UAlbany are meeting for the seventh time in DI program history. The two teams have split the six meetings, with the Bulldogs winning each of the last three. Bryant earned a 98-89 victory in January behind a career-high 26 points from Earl Timberlake.             

PLAYOFF PICTURE
Bryant has secured the No. 3 seed in the upcoming 2024 Jersey Mike's America East Men's Basketball Playoffs and will host a quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 9. The Bulldogs' opponent is yet to be determined.  

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Sherif Gross-Bullock recorded his 13th 20-point game of the season on Saturday vs NJIT and is averaging 18.4 ppg this season. SGB has scored 20+ points in eight of Bryant's 14 league games.   
  2. Earl Timberlake enters Tuesday averaging 14.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 3.9 apg on the season. He is averaging 16.1 ppg and 9.0 rpg in America East play.      
  3. Daniel Rivera has posted back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 24.5 ppg, 11.0 rpg and 4.0 apg last week. He scored 29 points and grabbed 12 boards at UMass Lowell before following up with 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists vs NJIT.    
  4. Rafael Pinzon had a breakout game on Saturday, posting 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field. 
  5. Miles Latimer enjoyed his best game as a Bulldog on Saturday, scoring 17 points. The 17 points are his most as a Bulldog, while his five three-point field goals tied his career high that was set in February 2019.
