Gross-Bullock, Timberlake named to America East First Team

BOSTON – Bryant men's basketball seniors Sherif Gross-Bullock and Earl Timberlake were named to the America East First Team, the league announced on Thursday afternoon.

Gross-Bullock and Timberlake earl postseason honors for the second-straight season and give Bryant two first-team all-conference selections for the first time since 2021-22.

Gross-Bullock, the 2023 AE Newcomer of the Year, earned his second-straight all-conference honor after averaging 18.1 ppg, ranking fourth in the league. SGB led Bryant with 13 games of 20+ points, surpassing the mark in 8-of-16 league games. He scored a career-high 41 against UMBC, the third-most in a game in DI program history. SGB was deadly from three, leading the league and ranking 45th nationally with 2.7 three-point field goals per game.

Timberlake picks up first team honors after earning second team honors last season. The senior from D.C. put together one of the best seasons in America East history, finishing 11th in scoring (14.6), third in rebounding (9.0), sixth in assists (3.9), eighth in blocks (1.3) and 13th in steals (1.3). Timberlake was even better in America East, averaging 16.1 ppg, 9.1 rpg and 3.3 apg. He finished second in the league in double-doubles (11) and field goal percentage (62.0).

Bryant is back in action on Saturday, March 9 when it hosts Maine in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Jersey Mike's America East Men's Basketball Playoffs. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased here.
