BRYANT MEN’S GOLF 10TH AFTER DAY 1 OF NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

BREWSTER, Mass. – The Bryant University men’s golf team
sits in 10th place after opening round action at the 2009 New
England Championships at The Captain’s Course on Cape Cod.
The Bulldogs, last year’s champions for all divisions,
finished 23-over with a score of 311 as Jason Thresher led the way
with a round of 73 to finish tied for eighth.
Dartmouth holds the lead after Day 1 with a 3-under 291 while
Central Connecticut is second at 293 followed by UConn (298) and
Rhode Island (299).
Alex Daley carded a 76 to place tied for 28th while Scott Congdon
(80), Kyle Hoffman (82) and Eric Tankanow (83) rounded out the
scoring.
