Buschmann NEC Co-Player of the Month

BUSCHMANN NAMED NEC CO-PLAYER OF THE MONTH

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After putting together a solid month of golf in his first semester on campus, freshman Kyle Buschmann (East Haddam, Conn.) was recognized as the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Month, the league announced on Wednesday.

Buschmann was Bryant's top finisher and finished in the top 10 in each of the three events during the month of October. His best performance was his most recent as he helped lead the Bulldogs to the Division I team title at the NEIGA Championships by finishing tied for first with a 76 after 18 holes. Prior to that, he tied for second overall in a field of 68 golfers at the AIC/Adelphi Classic on Oct. 20-21, shooting a career-low 69 in the first round. Buschmann's month was completed with a seventh-place finish amongst 84 golfers at The Connecticut Cup.

The Bulldogs will now prepare for the spring portion of their 2013 season that includes the NEC Championships in May.
