Buschmann named NEC Golfer of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University golf junior Kyle Buschmann (East Haddam, Conn.) has been named the NEC Golfer of the Week, as announced by league officials Wednesday.

Buschmann earns the honor -- his first of the season -- after posting the top finish for the Bulldogs at Sunday's Blue Devil Spring Shootout in Durham, N.C. The junior carded a 76 in the single-round event, tying for 23rd overall for his second-consecutive top-25 finish. He led the Black and Gold to a ninth-place team finish with a team score of 316.

The Bulldogs are back in action April 4-5, when they compete in the Rhode Island Invitational in North Kingston, R.I.
