My Best Round: Connor Henderson

Throughout the month of February, members of the Bryant men's golf team will describe their best collegiate round. In our next installment, sophomore Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) recaps his first round at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate in September.

Name: Connor Henderson

Tournament: Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate (Sept. 9-10, 2017)

Course: Hop Meadow CC (Simsbury, Conn.)

Score: 72 (E)

How was the weather that day?

The weather was warm and breezy.

When did you know it was going to be a good day?

I had a very good warm-up and was hitting the ball well.

What part of your game was working best?

My tee shots were long and accurate during this round. For me, hitting fairways off the tee usually translates into a solid round.

Was there something that's typically a strength of yours that wasn't working well that day? If so, how did you adapt?

I usually have a very good short game. On this day, my putting saved me from a couple of poor chip shots.

Was there a hole during the round that was key to your success that day?

Not just one hole but a stretch of holes. I birdied three out of the last four holes on the front nine to respond from a shaky start to the day.
