Piersall fires 2-under 70, earns Bulldogs T7 spot after Day 1 in Hartford
South Kent, Conn. – Led by a 2-under round of 70 from sophomore Nick Piersall (Portland, Conn.), the Bryant University men's golf team sits tied for 7th at the end of Day 1 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Piersall's 2-under round sits him tied for 15th after Day 1, the best Bryant finisher in the first round of the invitational.
- Juniors Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) and Andrew Warfield (Southborough, Mass.) careded 1-over 73's on the afternoon.
- Freshman Tyler Hahn (Avon, Conn) fired a 3-over 75 and senior Ryan Brown's (Bedford, N.H.) 4-over 76 rounded out the team scoring for the Bulldogs.
- Junior Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) played as an individual and sits in the Top 30 as well with his classmates after a 1-over round of 73.
