Stafford second through 18 holes at Lafayette
HELLERTOWN, Pa. – Junior Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) shot a 2-under 70 to sit one stroke off the lead, helping the Bryant University men's golf team to a seventh place standing through 18 holes of the Abarta Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Intercollegiate Tournament Sunday at The Steel Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stafford opened his day on the 14th hole and collected two birdies to begin the afternoon. An eagle on hole No. 2 got Stafford back to 2-under and he added birdies on 4, 5 and 9 to complete the day tied for second among the field.
- Junior Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) carded a 3-over 75 to tie for 22nd through 18 holes.
- Senior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 38th.
- The Bulldogs are 11 strokes back of the lead held by Colgate (290).
