Three Bulldogs finish in top 10 at Rhode Island Invitational

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. – Junior Payton Kim (Palatine, Ill.) led three Bulldogs in the top 10 at the Rhode Island Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday at Quidnessett Country Club.

Kim placed seventh in the field while playing on Bryant's "B" team. Juniors Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) and Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) finished eighth and ninth overall, helping Bryant's "A" team to a second-place result behind tournament host Rhode Island.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Henderson's 74 Tuesday was tied for the third-best round of the day among the field on a windy course at Quidnessett.
• Junior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) carded a 76 to climb to a 12^th-place finish.
• Sophomore Nick Piersall (Portland, Conn.) shot a 77 Tuesday to move up to 17^th overall.
• Rhode Island won the team title at +34 over 54 holes, 13 strokes ahead of the Bulldogs. The Rams' Dawson Jones took individual medalist honors by shooting even-par over the three rounds, including a 72 Tuesday that was the best round of the day.
