Stafford, Brown earn All-NEC honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University men's golf junior Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) and senior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) have been named as all-conference selections for the 2019 season in a vote of the Northeast Conference's nine head coaches.

Stafford earned first team All-NEC honors with a team-best 75.8 average in the spring and three top-10 finishes. The Connecticut native finished his junior year strong with an eighth-place result at the Rhode Island Invitational and a tie for sixth at the NEC Championship. Stafford recorded a ninth-place finish at Lafayette in the Bulldogs' second tournament of the spring.

Brown was named a second team all-conference selection with a 76.3 average in his final spring season in Black & Gold. The senior from New Hampshire was even-par in the final round of the NEC Championship to help Bryant to a second-place result. Brown finished tied for sixth at the conference championship and added top-20 results at Rhode Island and Lafayette.
