Men?s Lacrosse Falls to C.W. Post 10-5

SMITHFIELD, RI – Jeremy Jablonski scored four goals and handed out two assists en route to C.W. Post’s 10-5 victory over Bryant University in a non-conference men’s lacrosse game played today at Bulldog Stadium.

C.W. Post (4-2) jumped out to a 2-0 first quarter lead behind goals from Jablonski 37 seconds into the game and another by Ralph Carino off a Will Campbell assist with 1:17 to go in the first.

The Pioneers would score five more goals in the second including two from Jablonski and two more he assisted on. Bryant (3-4, 2-2 NE-10) got on the board with 1:16 to go in the second when Craig Buckout (South Salem, NY) scored off an assist from Andrew Serge (Albany, NY) to make it a 7-1 Pioneers lead at the half.

The third quarter saw each team net two goals. John Papayani (Great River, NY) notched the Bulldogs first in the third when it blasted an unassisted goal past the Pioneer goalkeeper. Serge scored Bryant’s other goal in the period.

In the fourth Bryant outscored C.W. Post 2-1 off two unassisted goals by Buckout with seven and five minutes to go.

Bryant was by Buckout’s three goals and Serge had a goal and an assist. Carino also helped the cause for the Pioneers scoring three goals and an assist.

Bryant will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Southern New Hampshire for a Northeast-10 Conference game. Game time is set for 7:00PM.
