Men?s Lacrosse Beats Bentley 9-6
SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bryant University men’s lacrosse team beat Bentley 9-6 in Northeast-10 Conference game played today at Bulldog Stadium.
With win Bryant improves to 5-5 overall and 4-2 in the
Northeast-10 while Bentley falls to 5-5 and 5-3 in Conference.
Bryant would jump out to an early 1-0 lead when Craig
Buckhout (South Salem,
NY) scored off an assist from
Andrew Serge
(Albany,
NY). Bill Palacino
(Smithtown,
NY) would score with one minute
to go in the first quarter to make 2-1 Bulldogs.
Bryant and Bentley would go into the half tied at three before
Bryant would score three unanswered goals to build its lead.
Jesse Rose (Port
Jefferson,
NY) would score at nine minute
mark off an assist Adam Smith (Bainbridge
Island,
WA) to make it 4-3.
Bryan Molk
(Peabody,
Mass.) would then score before
two Smith goals would make 7-3. Serge and Palacino would score
before Bentley would add two with less then 30 seconds to play.
Smith finished the game with two goals and two assists while
Biuckhout added two goals and an assist. Bentley was lead by Bob
Catala who scored two.
Michael Kennedy (Port Jefferson, NY) got the win in goal for Bryant making six saves in 60 minutes of action. Bryant will return to action Thursday when they travel to Assumption for a Northeast-10 Conference game.
