Men?s Lacrosse Wins Season Opener
LAURINBURG, NC – The Bryant University men’s lacrosse team won its season opener 9-2 over Saint Andrews College in a game played in Laurinburg, North Carolina on Wednesday.
Bryant (1-0), who out shot Saint Andrews (3-5) 35-to-16, was led by junior Jedd Stroeshenko (Bay Shore, NY) who scored four goals on the day. Sophomore Adam Smith (Bainbridge Island, WA) also chipped in with two goals and one assist. Senior Andrew Serge (Albany, NY) added a goal and two assists.
Senior goalie Matt Lovejoy (Thornton, PA) got the win for Bryant stopping seven shots in the game.
Bryant will return to action Saturday, March 19, when they host their home opener against Notre Dame de Namur. Game time is set for 1:00pm in Smithfield.
