In starting lineup for season opener against No. 4 North Carolina, where he recorded his first collegiate points with a goal and an assist... Added one more helper on the season for three points in his rookie campaign... Fired 14 shots on the year... Picked up seven ground balls and forced four opponent turnovers.

Before Bryant: A 2009 graduate of North Kingstown High School, Sternberg was a four-year varsity letterwinner for the Skippers... Named a two-time High School All-American selection... Two-year team captain... Twice named a first team all-state selection... Helped lead his team to state championships as a freshman and a junior... Arguably one of the top lacrosse prospects to ever come out of Rhode Island, Sternberg collected over 50 points and 139 groundballs as a senior, boasting a 90 percent faceoff percentage in 2009... Two-time team MVP... Was selected to represent Rhode Island in the North/South Senior Showcase held at Bryant University in the summer of 2009...
