JAMESON LOVE NAMED NEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Sophomore goalie Jameson Love (Darien, Conn.) earned his third-consecutive Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolade and fifth such honor of the season, making 25 saves to lead the Bulldogs on a 2-0 week.

Love posted double-digit stops in both outings while allowing just 11 goals in two wins and boasted a .694 save percentage and a 5.50 goals against average in facing 59 total shots. Love made a number of big saves in both outings, including six in the second frame against the Quinnipiac Saturday and four more in a key fourth quarter to hold onto a one-goal lead.

The sophomore led the Bulldogs with 10 ground balls on the week, including six Saturday on the road against the Bobcats. The netminder played all 120 minutes between the pipes and currently boasts a 6.36 goals against average and a .598 save percentage on the year with one game left to play on the season.
