PFAU AMONG 19 NAMED SENIOR SCHOLAR-ATHLETES BY THE NEW ENGLAND INTERCOLLEGIATE LACROSSE ASSOCIATION
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University men's lacrosse senior Alex Pfau (Bel Air, Md.) was named to the Ninth Annual Division I All-New England Senior Scholar-Athlete team for his outstanding academic performance in 2008-09, as announced by the NEILA Wednesday afternoon.
Bryant's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the Bulldogs' only representative on the All-New England Senior Scholar-Athlete team, Pfau was among 19 athletes from nine different schools to earn the honor.
The NEILA Scholar-Athlete Team acknowledges graduating seniors who have earned over a 3.0 grade point average and have excelled on the field. Pfau appeared in 10 games at midfield for the Bulldogs in 2009, scoring a goal on two shots.
