As a junior: Appeared in four games for the Bulldogs in 2011 ... Took two shots on the season ... Hit the net against Mount St. Mary's on Apr. 30.

Before Bryant: A 2008 graduate of Greenwich High School, Kiernan attended Nassau Community College where he was named a Junior College All-American in 2010… Led the Lions’ midfield in points scored the last two seasons, taking Nassau to the national championship game as a freshman and to the national semifinals as a sophomore… Named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team as a freshman... Was a four-time varsity letterwinner in lacrosse and hockey in high school… Earned an All-FCIAC selection.

Personal: The son of Elizabeth and James Kiernan, James Thomas Kiernan was born July 1, 1988… Father played football and baseball at nearby Brown University… Has three sisters, Sarah, Katherine and Julia, who was an All-American field hockey player at St. Lawrence.
