Lax coach Brad Ross named MLL All-Star

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University associate head lacrosse coach Brad Ross has been named to the 40-man Major League Lacrosse (MLL) All-Star roster and will participate in the 2011 All-Star Game Saturday, July 9 (7 p.m.) at Harvard Stadium in Boston, Mass.

The Boston Cannons midfielder and second-year Bulldog men's lacrosse coach is currently second on the team and seventh in the league in scoring with 21 points off 13 goals and five assists, and Ross has been a crucial part of the Cannons' league-topping 6-1 record entering Saturday's All-Star Game. Ross is one of nine Cannons named to the All-Star roster.

A Duke University graduate, Ross was a three-time All-America selection for the Blue Devils before being drafted 15th overall by the Toronto Nationals in 2009, leading the team to the MLL Championship before joining the Cannons prior to the 2010 season. Ross serves as associate head coach and offensive coordinator for the Bryant lacrosse program and guided the Bulldog offense to six all-conference selections and the NEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2011.

The 11th annual Sports Authority MLL All-Star Game hosted by Major League Lacrosse and the Boston Cannons will feature a full day of events for lacrosse fans, including the pre-game Fan Zone with interactive games, contests, product sampling and more from sponsors such as Warrior, Brine, Gentle Giant, and New Balance. Halftime of the All-Star Game will feature the annual Bud Light Skills Competition and the all-new Goalie Gauntlet.

The MLL All-Star Game will air live on ESPN2 with live streaming available on ESPN3.com. Brighthouse Sports Network will replay the game Sunday, July 10 at 2:30 p.m. Click the links below for ticket information and the complete 2011 MLL All-Star roster.
