BULLDOG DUO NAMED TO NORTH ROSTER IN 71ST ANNUAL USILA/LAXWORLD NORTH-SOUTH GAME

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After guiding their team to the best Division I season in Bryant University men's lacrosse history, seniors Jameson Love (Darien, Conn.) and Travis Harrington (Vestal, N.Y.) have been selected to play for Team North in the 2012 USILA/LaxWorld North/South Game, to be played Friday at Harvard Stadium.

A two-year captain and four-year starting goalie, Love has manned the pipes in every Division I game in program history. The active career leader in saves in the Division I ranks upon completion of the 2012 season, he holds Bryant's all-time program record in saves (666) and saves per game (9.94) after a stellar four years as a Bulldog.

Love, who was named an All-Northeast Conference First Teamer and the NEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, ranks in the top 10 nationally in saves per game (8th, 11.56), goals against average (8th, 7.48) and save percentage (3rd, .602) this season and led the league in nearly every goalie statistic as well. Love also graduates in the program's top five in career save percentage (.562), goals against average (7.82), ground balls (197) and caused turnovers (36) and has recorded more minutes (4157) and more wins (44) in net than any other Bulldog.

With arguably the most productive second half of the season of any player in the NEC, Harrington joins his classmate to play for the North in the 71st annual event. The attack eclipsed the 100-career point mark in the final game of the regular season and finished his career with 104 to rank 10th among the program's all-time points leaders. Harrington also graduates ninth in Bulldog history with 67 career tallies.

In 2012, Harrington found the back of the net 22 times to rank third on the squad, while his 31 points were good for fourth overall. But 24 of those 31 points, as well as 16 of his 22 goals, came in the final nine games of the year, as he netted a tally in each of the last 11 contests to end the season.

The USILA/LaxWorld North/South rosters are made up of more than 60 of the top seniors in Division I and Division II lacrosse. The game will take place Friday, May 25 at Harvard Stadium in Boston, Mass., at 5:30 p.m. following the Division III North/South Game. Tickets can be purchased at the stadium.
