Poli selected to USILA North/South Game

BRYANT LSM MASON POLI TO SUIT UP FOR TEAM NORTH IN 2013 SENIOR ALL-STAR GAME

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior longstick midfielder Mason Poli (Downingtown, Pa.) has been named to the 2013 USILA/LaxWorld North/South Game, where he will suit up for Team North on Friday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m.

The most prolific offensive longpole in the NCAA, Poli scored 14 goals and added eight assists during his senior season and graduates with 61-career points off 44 total tallies and 17 helpers. With four-career hat tricks, 163-career ground balls and 69-career caused turnovers, the Pennsylvania native has proven to be among the most well-rounded and versatile players in Bulldog program history.

A unanimous All-Northeast Conference First Team selection as a senior, Poli has led all active longpoles in scoring in each of the last two seasons donning the Black and Gold. The all-conference first team nod was his third in the last three years, and the senior also garnered his third-consecutive NEILA First Team accolade after a stellar 2013 campaign.

The 27th pick of the 2013 MLL Draft (Charlotte Hounds), Poli was named a Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist for the second time this spring and added 35 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers in 2013. He graduates from Bryant ranked second all-time in caused turnovers, man-down goals, and games played, and ranks in the program's top 10 in career caused turnovers per game, single-season caused turnovers and single-season caused turnovers per game.

Poli is one of just three Northeast Conference players to appear on the game's rosters, joined by Team South selections Brett and Bryant Schmidt of Mount St. Mary's. Friday's game will be played at Edith Robb Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.
