As a sophomore: All-NEC Second Team ... Appeared and started all 15 games at defense in 2016... Caused 13 turnovers which was second on the team and picked up 19 ground balls ... Secured five ground ballls in the season opener against Manhattan on Feb. 6.

As a freshman: Appeared in all 18 games as a key longpole for the Bulldogs, earning his first career start against Sacred Heart April 7 ... Finished second on the team with 13 caused turnovers, adding 15 ground balls on his rookie campaign.

Before Bryant: A 2014 graduate of Fairfield Prep, Johnson was a three-year varsity letterwinner and two-year starter for the Jesuits … Senior captain … Helped team win three-straight league championships from 2012-14 and back-to-back state championships as a sophomore and junior … First team all-state pick as a senior in 2014 … 2014 all-area selection … Second team all-state selection as a junior … 2014 league tournament MVP … Also a three-year varsity letterwinner and senior captain in football … Performed community service every Sunday for all four years of high school.
