Bulldogs announce schedule change, host Siena Monday at 4 p.m. in Conaty Indoor Athletic Center

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team will host Siena College Monday at 4 p.m. inside the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center.

The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, was moved due to impending severe weather.

Siena (0-6) has played a pair of top-10 teams in Syracuse and Virginia already this season but are still on the hunt for their first victory of 2017. The Bulldogs (3-4) have posted highs and lows early on in the 2017 campaign and are looking to rebound after a 7-5 loss at Drexel Friday night.

The Saints' offense is paced by Chris Robertson, who has 16 goals and four assists this season and ranks 25th nationally in goals per game (2.67). Mike Reilly has been the team's primary distributor with 11 assists (19 points), while Jon-Michael Tokar has also hit double-digit points with 10 (4g, 6a) on the year. Brian Prunty is the team's second-leading scorer with nine goals.

The Bulldogs counter with an offense that has run hot and cold, but boast a top line anchored by one of the most potent scoring threats in the nation in senior captain Tucker James (Essex Fells, N.J.). James ranks 13th in Division I with 3.00 goals per game (19 on year) and 48th in assists per outing (1.50). Behind him, junior linemate Cam Ziegler (Carlsbad, Calif.) has contributed 23 points off 12 goals and a team-leading 11 assists, while three others – juniors Tom Kennedy (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Kyle Cornell (Darien, Conn.) and frosh Jake Buonaiuto (Miller Place, N.Y.) – have double-figure points on the year.

Defensively, junior netminder James Werner (New Rochelle, N.Y.) has been strong for the Black and Gold, giving up double-digit goals just twice this season while averaging just 8.20 goals against. He boasts a .550 save percentage that ranks 20th in the nation while his goals against average rates 18th.

At the faceoff X, junior Kenny Massa (Huntington, N.Y.) will pit his .510 winning percentage (73-of-143) against the Siena duo of Hunter Sanna (50-of-110) and Dylan Pantalone (23-of-55). Joe Arcarese leads Monday's visitors with 23 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Aaron Lewis has seen the majority of action between the pipes for the Saints, posting a 17.28 goals against average and .363 save percentage.

Both sides excel on the man advantage, with the Saints and the Bulldogs tied at 10th in the nation in the category (.526).
